Prototype for a new figure • Zbrush sculpt

I been working a bit with Zbrush and im finding the whole experience super fun, so im working on a few things that hopefully will make it into production soon.

So many projects and ideas on the shelf for so long, happily this prototype is already in Japan to receive the Sofubi treatment! 
This will be my very first self produced figure. why sofubi? Nostalgia. And also its the right medium for this character, even I am willing to sacrifice and lose a details from the sculpture in order to get it done by the masters at Japan.that kind of craftsmanship is priceless.

Paulus Hyu's "Sleepwalker Nimbus" x Chauskoskis

A project that has been on the works for some time it's finally done (at least my part), Artist Paulus Hyu had the good faith on me to pull together the prototype sculpt for his Nimbus character, but in its Kaiju form, "Nimbus Sleepwalker" this frenchie is on its way to the factory. Semi Korosiya (Cicada Killer)

 I know i know! you know about this and probably you already see the first Sofubi release from this beast designed by Adam Saul (AKA Cop a Squat Toys), but i wanted to share with you my resin prototype, you might notice some differences between this one and the final product those changes were necessary to do in Japan in order to get the right pull from the molds.

Estoy tratando de recuperar tiempo perdido con varios post pendientes, hace meses no tengo un internet decente en casa, asi que se complica mucho estar al corriente.

Este es un proyecto que ya tiene mucho tiempo en proceso y hace meses termine mi parte, se llama Semi Korosiya, es una figura Kaiju, diseñada por Adam Saul y que será producida en Japón.

hice un prototipo en plastilina basado en dibujos de Adam, y después a esa se le hizo un molde e hice una copia en resina negra, a la que le di una pulida y detalles, posteriormente la envie a Adam, quien a su vez, la envio a Japon donde se encuentra es sus ultimas etapas.

Espero poder ver la pieza final muy pronto!


Hey guys! trying to put here a bunch of stuff that i miss or just don't have the time to post before.

So heres Semi Korosiya prototype i finish back in april or something like that, first i did a clay version, then i made a mold of it and cast it in black resin and fix up some details there, then send it to Japan for Sofubi production.

Semi Korosiya was created and designed by Adam Saul from Cop A Squat Toys, and hopefully late this year or early next one will be for sale.

Awesome Bear by Phil Lumbang x Dragatomi Sculpted by Chauskoskis

Other Prototype work i did recently for the folks from Dragatomi, they will be producing the signature character from the artist Phil Lumbang, "Awesome Bear".

 It was recently shown at SDCC 2012 at the Dragatomi Booth, this figure for sure will be a huge success, and im glad to be part of it, this was a tricky sculpt to do, but i think it came out pretty...AWESOME! 

It have 2 points of articulation, no date informed yet for the release so you better keep an eye on Dragatomi site.

Wooper Looper by Gary Ham • Prototype • SDCC 2011

Wooper Looper de Gary Ham (esculpido por su servidor) haciendo su primer aparición pública en SDCC 2011 , si bien solo es el prototipo causo una excelente respuesta tanto de fans como expertos, esten atentos a mas noticias de como evoluciona Wooper Looper!

Parece ser una escultura sencilla, pero resulto mas compleja que el mismisimo Greasebat!

Real Fighting Greasebat Prototype

Well... Greasebat is free! pics are all around the web, so i think i can post some pics of this guy :)

I been working with Jeff since August 2009 in his character Greasebat, sketches and pics going back and forth, it start as a small project like a little collaboration between us, and the thing just grow and grow, now Greasebat is going to be produced in soft japanese vinyl by Monsterworship. Im so freaking glad to be part of the very first toy from Jeff, Congrats dude.

And thanks to Chad from MW for get involved so hard with this.

Bueno, Greasebat ya apareció por todos lados :D así que supongo que ya puedo postearlas aquí. He estado trabajando con Jeff Lamm desde hace mese en este proyecto que nació como una colaboración entre los dos, inesperadamente el proyecto crecio y de pronto Greasebat será producido en vinil suave en Japón, por Monsterworship la verdad es que ser parte de este proyecto me da mucho gusto porque mi interes de hacer esta escultura fue sólo porque me gusta el arte de Jeff y Greasebat me parecía un personaje genial. Ahora esto abrirá muchas puertas más para futuros proyectos.
